Chinese silver, gold
& platinum coins
We carry a very wide range of Chinese coins, by
far our most popular product line. These include the silver
pandas, gold pandas, silver commemoratives, silver fans, gold
commemoratives and the massive silver rectangles. We offer the
complete series of these coins, not just the current date coins
like most dealers. The Chinese are very prolific when it comes
to minting coins. With one billion people, they have a huge
demand and the Bank of China mints an incredible number of coins
every year. Some have extremely limited mintages and command a
very high price. In fact, it is not uncommon for the Chinese
distributor to call and offer to buy back coins due to the
demand in China outstripping supply.

China, with a population of over one billion
people, is probably the most prolific
producer of coins in the world. Not only do
they produce an enormous number of coins for
general circulation, they also produce the
widest variety of gold coins each year. Many
of these gold coins are a continuation of a
multi-year series, like the Pandas and the
Lunar coins. In addition to these, numerous
gold coins are produced to commemorative
various occasions or events.

Platinum Pandas
Platinum is almost twice as valuable as
gold and in extremely high demand. These
Chinese Platinum Pandas are ideal for
jewelry, whether it be for rings,
earrings or necklaces. They are
beautiful coins with the endearing Panda
design. Besides their inherent value due
to the platinum content, these Chinese
Pandas also have a considerable
collector value due to very low
mintages. The coins come in the original
hard plastic capsules.
Palladium Pandas
In 1989 the
People’s
Bank of China
issued its first and only legal tender
palladium
panda coin. In 2004, the China Mint is
once again issuing a palladium panda.
With only 8,000 proof ˝ oz. pure
palladium pandas being authorized by The
People’s Bank of China, this coin is
sure to be key collectible in the panda
series of coins.
Nicknamed
the “Kissing Pandas” because of the
tender portrayal of a mother and its
cub, the new palladium Pandas are far
more rare than their gold or silver
counterparts. Each coin is 100 Yuan
value. The coin comes in a deluxe
presentation box, accompanied by a
serial numbered certificate of
authenticity.
