The Mexican Toltec Pre-Columbian series, started in 1998 (some coins may have other dates), celebrates the history of the Toltec Culture with one 5 ounce silver coin, four 1 ounce silver coins and one 1 ounce gold coin depicting artifacts uncovered from various Toltec ruins. The five ounce coin comes in an airtite and the one ounce coins come in sealed unplasticized flips indicating the name and year of issue. Each coin is uncirculated and in superb condition grading at least MS-66. The one ounce gold coin is available by special request.
   
   
Atlantes (Atlantes statues) 5 Ounce BU Silver

These statues are located at the archaeological zone of Tula (Central Mexico), on the Sun god´s temple (Quetzalcoatl), watching over their ancient city which dates back to 713 B.C. the "Atlantes" are gigantic statues, in this case representing Toltec warriors. This can be observed throughout their uniform, as they carry in their right hand weapons that fired darts, while in their left one several arrows. On their chest they carry a butterfly shaped vest and in their backs they carry a calendar. On this coin, the image of the Atlantes is surrounded by a design inspired on their vest.

Quetzalcoatl 1 Ounce BU Silver

This one ounce coin shows a relief reproduction that symbolizes the birth of Ce-Acatl Topilzin Quetzalcoatl. Tradition tells that Ce-Acatl lead the Toltecs to a great city growth and reached the domination of several territories, richness and power, once they were established in Tula Xicocotitlan, nowadays Hidalgo city. He ruled this civilization from year 925 to 950 A.D. Surrounding the coin there is an outline with a design inspired in the belt of a Quetzalcotal figure.

Jaguar 1 Ounce BU Silver

This design shows a sculpture known as jaguar, an animal that was adored by the toltecs. Surrounding the "Jaguar" there is an outline with a design inspired by one of the columns of the Quetzalcóatl-Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli temple. Nowadays, this sculpture is located in the anthropology and national history museum located in Mexico City. This design is the only one that is presented in three different sizes: one, half and a quarter ounce coins, with face values of five, two and one pesos, respectively.

Sacerdote (Priest) 1 Ounce BU Silver

This coin design shows a priest represented by an "Atlante" figure, that is, a gigantic statue. Priests had the most important social status in the Toltec civilization. They had a direct relation with the gods they venerated. They also adopted the names and virtues of the god they represented. On this coin, the image of the Atlante Priest is surrounded by a design inspired on the vest.

Serpiente con cráneo (Serpent with a skull) 1 Ounce BU Silver

The reverse of this one ounce silver coin shows a relief detail of the Coatepantli wall. It shows a serpent with a skull. These reliefs alternate with images that have motifs of eagles eating bloody hearts, it also shows a snake that represents the god Quetzalcoatl, as the morning star or Venus. The outline of the coin is based on the armor of a Quetzalcoatl figure.
